Don't need any contract with Bhatts says Emraan

Emraan Hashmi may have enjoyed his biggest money spinner till date with a film outside the house of Bhatts. However, when it comes to his yearly calendar, there is at least one film with Bhatts which is always on the floors and another which is in the pipeline. Despite the fact that Emraan shares a personal relationship with his uncles Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, there have been murmurs that he has some kind of a contract with them when it comes to doing films. Is that true?

Laughs Emraan, 'I knew this was coming. Come on, when it comes to family, you don't need a contract. The movies that we work in are home concerns. These are men who are my uncles. But then there is no binding with them. I am free to do films outside Vishesh Films as well. Also, if I feel that I don't suit a subject offered by them, I am free to say no to them.'

However, it is also being widely believed that despite the star status that he enjoys, when it comes to working with Bhatts, he does so at a discounted price.

'This is again a sheer case of speculation and nothing else', defends Emraan, 'Mukheshji has always given me a fair market price and the same holds true for my new release CROOK as well. See, remuneration does differ from project to project. Some films are budgeted in a certain way so one gets a pay package accordingly. Also, in any case, I have never charged a price that ends up being a burden to the film itself. As for Mukeshji, I have never ever dictated a price in the past and I would never do so in future.'
