Composer Pritam would pretty much be enjoying his biggest Diwali ever this year. There are two major biggies all set to arrive on 5th November - ACTION REPLAYY and GOLMAAL 3. Incidentally, music of both these films has been composed by Pritam.
'Yeah, I too realised that pretty late once the plans were confirmed for both the films,' says Pritam who has enjoyed a Diwali release earlier too in the form of ALL THE BEST (2009) and GOLMAAL RETURNS (2008), 'Such things are not planned though. When I composed the music of ACTION REPLAYY, the film was supposed to release earlier. However, there were change in plans and the film is coming now. However, I always knew that GOLMAAL 3 would arrive this Diwali.'
Ironically, none of the two films have a Diwali song in them though ACTION REPLAYY has a Holi track in the form of Chhan Ke Mohalla. On the other hand, as is the tradition with Rohit Shetty films, there are celebration tracks that fit into the Goa setting of the film. Meanwhile Pritam continues to enjoy an extended dream journey with the music of ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI and CROOK hitting the bull's eye.
Says the shy composer, 'Yes, the music has been working for these films. However, there is always an anxiety for the next one that hits the stands. I haven't taken any rest for last 3-4 years and the situation doesn't seem to be changing in coming months as well.'
He seems quite right here. After his Diwali double bill, Pritam would next be seeing the release of NO PROBLEM, DIL TOH BACHCHA HAI JI and DUM MARO DUM.
