RAKTA CHARITRA is up for release and Ram Gopal Varma along with his team are going through all-India city tours to promote the film. With the film being barely three weeks away, one can expect busier times for Ramu and Vivek Oberoi - the lead hero of RAKTA CHARITRA - ahead.
When Ramu had announced the film around a year back, he had sounded mighty excited about the prospects of directing it. Apparently, he had such a strong storyline in hand that he had gone ahead and declared it to be the most hard hitting film that he would have ever made. Today when the film is ready, one can't help but ask Ramu if this was a temporary fad or the euphoria stays on till date.
"I think the excitement is even bigger than what it is was about a year back", says Ramu who has otherwise been known for keeping his emotions in check for the multiple releases that he comes up with every year, "When you read something on paper, visualise it in your mind, draft scenes and then finally bring them all alive for the big screen, it is a different high altogether."
He continues, "What seems like a bunch of paragraphs on paper turns out to be so magnificent when all cinematic applications like music, sound and dramatic cutting come into play. It all becomes all the more exciting. Also, the fact is that RAKTA CHARITRA is based on some true happenings that took place many years ago. To relive that story, go back in time and put in all in a dramatic manner is pretty exciting."
One looks forward to audience getting as excited when the film hits the screens on 22nd October 2010.
