The project is all the more special because it marks the Hindi film debut of South superstar Surya and is being eagerly awaited by his countless fans. The good news for all is that despite a few delays and hiccups due to unavoidable circumstances, the film has managed to keep its scheduled release date deadline, that is September 17.

RAKTA CHARITRA is being made in two parts. The first part, that is RAKTA CHARITA-1 will release first. RAKTA CHARITRA - 1 is said to depict the life of the slain political leader, Paritala Ravindra, played by Vivek Oberoi, with Surya, enacting the role of Maddelacheruvu Suri and Shatrughan 'Khamosh' Sinha essaying a character inspired by N. T. Rama Rao, with Sushant Singh, Zarina Wahab, Radhika Apte and Priyamani in other pivotal roles.

Well, this is indeed double good news from Vivek who was recently got engaged to Priyanka Alva, daughter of Karnataka minister and late Janata Dal leader Jeevaraj Alva and social worker Nandini Alva. The wedding is scheduled on 29th October.
